On the Road Again

I went for a followup appointment with the surgeon this morning, got the stitches out, and got the OK to ride my bike and swim, starting out slowly of course... so I went out and rode an easy 10 miles. What a great feeling! I did some spinning, never too much effort--just went into an easier gear when facing the wind. That's the good news.... The bad news is that there is not much cartilege left in my right knee. Doc said again that he was amazed that I was able to ride across the country with it so messed up. He warned me about running--said only run as much as I have to... and that a knee replacement might be in my future. Yikes!
