We were supposed to be ready to load bikes at 8:30 AM, so we drove up to Lexington on Saturday. We stayed at a small motel near the beach, in the "Tropical Room". We were at the school and ready to load by 8 AM, got in line, and..... stayed in line! It took over 3 hours to load the bikes! But they loaded them very carefully, making sure that none would touch the next one during the ride to Whitehall.
The buses got in gear around 11:00 and we arrived in Whitehall around 4 PM after a lunch stop at Burger King. Shown in the photo are Jake, Alex, Ian and Toby at BK. We set up our campsite and ate supper from the concession at the school. Hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream, oh my! Quiet time started at A) PM, and by then we were in our tent and ready to sleep.
