Home

We arrived home in time to go to dinner, come home and go to bed. Next morning we met the kids for the usual Saturday morning run and walk. Then I picked up Bill's good clothes at the dry cleaner's, got a manicure and pedicure, started the laundry, and we got ready to go to my niece's wedding... never a dull moment around here!

We were among the first to arrive... before the bride and groom, in fact! Here they are: Jason and Lena.

It seems that black and white is the way to go now.... Here are daughters Alison and Erika, and their cousins, my nieces Sara and Donna.

And just for fun, here are Sara, Donna, and Alison, taken around 1985.

My sister Rosemary was late, as always. She is on the left and my sister Rana (mother of the bride) is on the right. We knew our sister Joan would not be here from Florida, but were all disappointed that neither of our brothers showed up.

The next few days were spend getting back to real life.... I mowed grass, did more laundry, vaccuumed the house, got groceries, and the grandkids came over. Here are Adam, Delia and Sydney, doing their thing in the sandbox.

A bit later Toby came over too. Trying to get them all to look at me at the same time is impossible! It's like herding cats!

Now it's Memorial Day weekend! I pulled 3 garbage cans full of weeds, not done yet.... Grandkids will be here later. Tomorrow we walk and run in the morning, and I've been invited to go kayaking. Sunday is church and biking, and Monday morning we do the water stop for the Memorial Day race--the race chairman dropped off 1,000 cups for us this time, since registration is already at 800 and it's going to be 90 degrees out..... I repeat, never a dull moment. It's good to be home.

I miss reading your comments about the ride. Any chance you could write about what to pack for a trip like this? Besides a Scrabble game, of course! Any suggestions that would help first time long distance multi-day cyclists?
