August 4, 2013. The long way home.

We woke up early; I suppose that's to be expected after getting up at 5 all week.... we were at Kinni Creek Lodge, and over breakfast we discussed how much more enjoyable it is to stay at B&Bs as opposed to chain motels....

Kinni Creek is an outfitter that takes people out on the Kinnikinnic River that runs right behind the lodge.

We took the southern route to get home, bypassing Chicago to avoid the traffic. We arrived home about midnight and are ever so glad to be home!
