July 30, 2013. Taylors Falls, MN to Osceola, WI. 6 miles.

It rained all night, so we packed up wet tents and loaded them on the truck--what else can you do? At breakfast I talked again with Linda from Iowa. We've been talking about cycling all week.

Since this is the shortest paddling day it is Crazy Hat day. Fortunately for us, Dianne and Otis BOTH gave me a flamingo hat for my birthday last year!

We are paddling alongside rocky cliffs today, a much different terrain than the last couple of days.

We took out at Osceola Landing on the MN side of the river and bused over to Osceola, WI for the night. First we had to carry the boats up a hill and down the road about 1/4 mile to a separate lot.

We camped at Schillberg's Brookside Campground, and walked to Osceola Intermediate School for hot showers. Yay! We are all so ready for a hot shower! Indoors. And private.

There was entertainment at the nearby Art Barn, but Bill and I did not go. There is music and drinking most every night on the Rumble.
