Feb. 21, 2014

I finally got to the pool this morning while Dianne went to the gym. I swam 2,500 yards (about a mile and a half) and felt much better afterwards--swimming is a great cross training exercise for cyclists. There were not many people in the pool. I found out why later on--they think it's too cold! It was in the low 70s this morning.

After lunch we went to AAA again (maps and tour books for a trip to North Carolina). And we went to Scrabble club. After Scrabble we went to meet Jean, Dianne's friend who invited us all to stay at her place in Havelock Ontairo on our way to Quebec this fall. We brought maps and had a conversation to make sure she understood that there will be 8 or 10 of us staying over--she's fine with that. She served us a glass of wine and showed us some routes on the way from Detroit to Havelock and Havelock to Gaspe Peninsula, our ultimate destination.

It seems we are always planning a new adventure or two. Gotta have something to look forward to!
