February 24, 2015. In Sunny Florida.

This morning we left early to drive to Venice. Our good friends Tom and Pat have been there for weeks--Pat got sick and was admitted to the hospital there 2 weeks ago. She had surgery one week ago; although they wanted to go home for the surgery she was too sick to go. She is doing much better now. They were happy to see us and appreciative of the books that we brought them.

After the hospital visit we headed home--it had taken 2 1/2 hours to get there due to various stops along the way, and it took over 3 hours to get home! We rushed in and changed clothes, then rushed out to meet Dianne's sister Jan for dinner and a movie about Rembrandt (Jan is an artist). What a busy day! And I can't believe this is my second day here and my bike is still in its box!
