September 7, 2017. Gordon Island.

It was still raining this morning, after raining most of the night.  Bill put up the rain tarp and Yi Chia and I settled in to read our books while Bill studied the Richardson Chart book once again.

After the rain let up Bill and I went for a hike. There are trails all over the island. Even the pit toilets have a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River.

We surely did not want to get off the path--the Poison Ivy was quite healthy, and who knows what noxious parsnip is?

At the south end of the island we found campsites right on the water and 2 shelters called O-Tent-iks. The kayak dock there was closed due to high water; actually it was disconnected from the island.

We walked every path on Gordon Island, ending up at the red chairs. I set the camera on a nearby chimney and ran for the chairs so I could get a photo of both of us. Gotta love time delay!
