We left home at 545 am, for an early flight from DTW. After a very short layover in Seattle we boarded the plane for Anchorage.
When we arrived at ANC and picked up our rental car it was sunny and 60 degrees! Perfect weather. The drive to Seward was uneventful, if you discount the construction.
We are staying at Swans Nest B and B, a small place above the bike shop, within walking distance of the downtown and the bike path/walkway along the shore of Resurrection Bay.
We walked to town for dinner and ta quick look around. There was a 4 hour time change encountered during our travels today, so we were plenty tired when we shut the blackout curtains against the bright daylight at 10 p.m.
