Salt Lake City. April 27, 2016.

It was drizzling again this morning, making me glad I did not pack biking clothes--I had thought to bring them and rent a bike in my spare time, but that would definitely not have worked! We spent the day at the library again.(There is no spare time!) We are finding records to document the family history that we already knew, and finding new facts and people to add to our tree. I finally sorted out the cousins who married cousins in Quebec--here's how it is: 2 brothers married 2 sisters, and their grandchildren married each other. Kind of creepy if you ask me!

We left the library early today (5:30) to go to dinner with people from our group. Sarah did not get dinner last night because she was at the hospital with Sherry. Sherry organized this trip, and got very sick last night. She took a cab to a clinic, then had to take another cab to the hospital, vomiting violently all the way. Sarah took a cab to the hospital so Sherry would not be alone and sick. By the time they came back to the hotel they had spent almost $100 in cab fares! But a nice man at the hospital overheard Sarah talking about it and gave them a $50 bill to help pay for it! Sarah refused to take the money but the very nice man insisted. Sherry is still sick but back at the hotel with medicines to fight the severe vertigo and nausea.

Above are Lucy and Jim, who are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary today. The train station is right in front of the hotel, and it's free within the downtown district. We took the train (of course) to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.

We all had a great time: much laughter, funny stories, and even a couple of non-PC jokes. Jim took the photo of Verna, Rhonda, me, Rana, Sarah and Lucy.

By the time we got back to the hotel we were done for the day. I think Sarah and Rhonda went back to the library until closing time. We all want to get all we can out of this trip, but I only can sit for so many hours!
