June 27, 2017. Nashville to Eaton Rapids, MI. 38 Miles.

It was another beautiful sunny morning! Without wanting to jinx myself, this is the first PALM that I have not ridden in the rain!

It's hard to stop along the way to take photos when pulling the trail-a-bike, but I could not resist this little house with the trees made from empty bottles. At the second rest stop we heard about a short cut that would take a few miles off our route today, cutting out the biggest steepest climb, so we took it!

After waiting so long for lunch yesterday we got smart--Alison went to the grocery store and bought supplies for our lunch today. We stopped and ate lunch at the trailer before Tom went on to set up camp.

There are plenty of warnings for the local people and businesses. Cards like this are posted in all the small towns we pass through.

The last rest stop of the day is always the licorice lady! The kids were pleased to meet her. She has volunteered for this ride and this position for 12 years!
