PALM Day 6. June 29, 2018.

We are always asked to wear our PALM shirts the last day of the ride, and most of us complied.

It was supposed to be a 33 mile day, but a dirt road detour made it 35. We tried to go fast enough to make it to St. Clair for the parade, but we were a little late. It's pretty hard to get little kids to ride 35 miles before 11:30 AM. Alison rode the whole ride today, pulling Zane in the Wee Hoo trailer. That had to be tough on the dirt road!

We caught the tail end of the parade and merged in. Once we arrived at St. Clair High School Francis found us and directed us to where the truck and trailer were parked. We loaded the bikes and then went to lunch.

Bill left with Toby, Dennis and Martha. Pat picked Tom up, and Dianne and I rode with Alison, Francis and the kids. We took a detour through Marine City to show everyone where we used to live and work and go to school and church. Marine City looks great--better than it did when we lived here in the 1980s.  The kids watched the Polar Express movie in the van on the way home. All in all it was a successful PALM. No one got hurt and everyone still likes to ride their bikes!

Hi Linda!

Slow days at work....I'm going through my favorite links and refound your blog. So nice to see that you are still riding.

I am finally back on my bike this summer. I changed jobs and now work ten minutes from home. It's given me some of my life back and I am enjoying being on the bike. Friends and I ride Paint Creek, Macomb Orchard, Stoney Creek, Metro Parkway and the Clinton River trail a couple days a week.

I'm hoping to get in a couple hundred miles a month.

Hope all is well with you and yours!! Marie
