It's been a tough year...My asthma got much worse right before the Corona Virus was discovered in the US. I got tested to insure that it really was just asthma--it was.
The steroids I took for the asthma caused thick cataracts, and suddenly in August I could not see--could not read the paper or drive. Asthma doc and ophthalmologist agreed that the cataracts were caused by the steroids. I had two eye surgeries in the fall, and now I can see again.
We discussed not putting up the Christmas Village this year, but I was afraid that if we did not put it up this year, that we never would again (it takes a lot of time). So here it is--we have not had the usual number of visitors due to the Pandemic. But we already have plans for how to make it better next year!
The scavenger hunt includes12 flying reindeer, 11 pink flamingos, 10 chilly sledders, 9 jolly Santas, 8 people biking, 7 little snowmen, 6 children skating, 5 kids with rings, 4 nutcrackers, 3 American flags, 2 baby Jesus, and a witch with a pointy black hat! See how many you can find! Our grandchildren found them all, but they had the advantage of seeing it in person.
