September 29 and 30, 2023

We left in three separate cars to drive to the Finger Lakes area of New York. Bill drove with Fred, Tom, and Jim in Fred's van, pulling the trailer with all the bikes.I drove my car, with Doris along for the company. Diana drove separately so she could visit relatives.

We all arrived at the Driftwood Inn cottages at different times. Dianne met us there with her sister Julie, since she had already visited Julie and her family about three hours away.  Lots of planning on this one! Fred, Doris, Tom and Jim are in the Bell House and Dianne, Diana, Bill and I are in the HIghview House. Julie is staying one night with us in our cottage.

On Saturday morning we drove to Seneca Falls, NY with the bikes in the trailer. Bill dropped Jim and me and our bikes at the Women's Rights National Historical Park Visitor Center. Julie and Dianne drove over in Julie's car, but we had Dianne's bike with us. Again, a lot of logistics!

After touring the Visitor Center, we said goodbye to Julie. Jim, Dianne and I rode our from the Visitor Center to look at the sculpture garden  Then we followed the bike route back to our cottages at Ovid. It was a lovely ride, 23 miles with very little traffic. Our cottages are on the shore of Cayuga Lake.
